if you are in belgium then i suggest you can applied for work in UK.
Getting access to UK should be much easier within Europe.
Coming here to US to work means some hospital should hire you first before you can
go to embassy for visa.
unless you come here as student first, then obtain your RN license before seeking employment. All this will take at least 1 year.

cheers

Who better than I can suggest any nurse to be in UK?
I can write a book about nurses condition and struggle and success in UK.
There is of course a silverline in the horizon but its hard to reach the horizon.

NMC registration
IELTS 6.5 (7.0 from Feb 07)
Getting University (for Overseas Nursing Program, formerly called Adoptation program)
Getting Placement
Getting PIN from NMC
Getting a job as RGN
Getting Work Permit
Getting your partner here (if you need)

This is the series of the problem in working as a nurse in UK.
Every step is very difficult but not impossible.
I am trying to tell all the truth you need to know before you start.
Right person or agency can help you a lot but there are a very few right person/agency.

BEST OF LUCK, if you are applying.

Hello,
You can apply for B1/B2 Tourist?visitor visa first at the US embassy. Being a nurse I don't think it is that hard to obtain one. When you enter the US, apply for a Nurse's Certification exam. When/If you pass the exam you'll be sponsored by a hospital and would be able to start to work within a month or so.
You will be sponsored by a hospital because there is a scarcity of nurses right now in this country and when you pass the certification exam and become a certified nurse, getting employment and sponsorship would not be a problem. Good Luck
