Maoist cadres looted voters’ lists including other documents from Kavre village development committee of Dolakha district.

Three Maoists looted the new and old voters’ list, annex forms and other documents from voters’ list updating officials on Friday.

Reports quoted assistant names registration officer and VDC secretary Narayan Prasad Dahal as saying that the Maoists looted the documents saying that voters’ name should be collected in the places where they are staying.

Maoists also forced the team to enlist their caders’ names, who were from other districts.

The ruling seven party alliance and the Maoists agreed to hold the election of the constituent assembly by mid-June this year but Maoists have been obstructing the work of Election Commission in various parts of the country.
