Hey Guys, Do any of you guys own a Zune? If you do, how is it and can it be used as a portable hard drive? [I believe that the iPod can be used as a portable hard drive]. I would appreciate your response. Thanks.

DONT buy ZUNE. It sucks. If you're someone who's gonna buy ORIGINAL CDS all the time then go for it, but ZUNE only allows you to transfer songs using an authorized software/program ( or whatever ) and that prevents you from listening to your favorite songs that you might've downloaded off Arez, Limewire or anywhere else. The cost is the same and I don't see the reason why you'd wanna buy ZUNE instead of Ipod. I almost got fekd by buying it off staples as I had a gift card from there but upon asking the sales assistant, he said that I'd rather not buy it. I ended up buying a Digital cam as staples don't carry ipods. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the post... As for your comment, "ZUNE only allows you to transfer songs using an authorized software/program", I think iPod also requires you to upload music into it using only iTunes, correct? Or are there other ways you can load music into iPod? I was checking out the Zune site and it does say that the player supports mp3 format. Can I not upload my existing mp3's into Zune from the Zune software like into iPod using iTunes?
