Hi All,
I'm need to send documents for my parents to apply for visitor visa to US.
I was in F1 (Student Visa) till few years ago and changed to H1 since then.
I haven't been outside of US and therefore, my Visa doesn't have H1 stamp yet.
It has expired F1 visa.
Since many of you have had this situation, I'm hoping to get some suggestions.
My concerns are:
1. What documents do I need to send to Nepal before my parents can apply for visa?
I have some of them listed below. Please let me know if I need additional.
-- H1 Approval Document.
-- Employment offer letter.
-- Letter to US embassy from employer verifying that I'm their employee
and requesting for Visa to my parents.
-- My personal letter to US embassy stating my current status and requesting visa for my parents.
-- My US bank statement to show that I can take care of my parents when they get here.
-- Copies of last few months pay checks.
-- Copies of my passports (even if they have expired visa).
-- May be property in Nepal just to assure that they'll be going back to Nepal afterwards.
-- May be my degree certificates.

2. If they get visa, can they stay in London for few days as transit or that is completely different issue?
Thank you for any suggestions.

Though I haven't been such situation .... what ever you are planning to send is more than enough. Your expired F1 Visa doesn't matter at all.

For Q#2, it is completely different case. If they are to be in london (staying in transit inside airport) for more than 24 hours, they need transit visa for UK. If they plan to enter UK then, of course, they need a Visa.

Good luck.

Thank you for replying Prakash_Ji,
One of my relative is in London, so that was just in case if possible to stay few days there as transit without having to apply for UK visa from Nepal.
