Rand is a command made by MS to ease testing by filling in data when needed.
rand(a,b) a= number of lines, b=repettion of "the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog"

Actually you can open word & type =rand (200,x) where x is between 1 to 99.

These are called Easter Eggs and programmers who make programs put in these easter eggs for fun and sometimes as a signature.
