Pink Parking Spaces Separate The Boys
Parking authorities in Switzerland are painting parking spaces reserved
for women pink, in an effort to deter male drivers from parking in them
out of embarrassment.
"Legally, we can't stop men from using women's parking spaces," said
Bern parking boss Bjorn Rohrbach, "And telling them off didn't work
either."
The plan prompted mixed reactions from across the DJ community with
Irish DJ Fergie (who just recently passed his driving test) admitting he'd
be unlikely to be deterred.
"Would I be too embarrassed to park in a pink parking space? Would I
f**k?" the erstwhile Radio 1 star told Skrufff, "I've been going to Trade
for too long to start worrying about things like that," he roared.
Jell Mills' wife Yoko, who recently opened a high fashion boutique in
Chicago with the legendary techno star, admitted pink isn't big in their
shop yet and said Jeff isn't the biggest fan of the flamboyant colour
either.
"He wore something pink once, I think, a sweater," Yoko told Skrufff,
"but I don't know if Jeff would park in a pink space, I don't think so,"
she guessed.
London new rave scenester Scottie (of Anti-Social, Yr Mum, Yr Dad
repute) also said he wouldn't take the space ('I get driven, I don't drive')
and echoed Jeff's colour preferences.
"Pink makes a plus size look super size," he said. "Black is smart,
classy and hides the hips".
