Slowersea,

Indu Chemzong is the wife of General Chemzong (not sure if he's still in uniform or retired). She was the principal of Little Angles School before coming to the BSAM.

Both the BSAM websites--the Sallaghari Aliumni Association site and the BSAMV site--are miles away from completion. It would be wonderful for all of us, especially, the BSAMites if the sites are completed.

BSAM was home to most of us for many years and to hear any thing wrong about the school, where we spent many wonderful years experiencing unique and different things, makes us feel sad. BSAM is indeed a great institution. It's one of the most successful fruit of Nepal Army's efforts.

It is sad but from what I hear the school is not as what it used to be when we--from the earlier batches--were there. I am from the 3rd schoolong batch (SLC 1997) and when I was in class 4 (1990), the school was very, very strict and damn good. There were only three school batches back then and no coed. I still remember it was a heck of a tough time back then. But, gradually things changed, good teachers left the school, I guess many political factions entered the school--both the Army politics and the civilian corrupt politics---and things started degrading. What is needed for BSAM to be as good as it was in it's early days is a good leader and a cooperation from the Army side in the school because many times there were only clashes between the Academic and the Administration sides. Hope we find our old school as good as it was in the old days!!!!!

It's very nice seeing all of you BSAMites here. Hope we continue meeting in threads like these and keep updating ourselves. I live in TX. If any BSAMites is here or is planning to come here, please e-mail me. Would love to see any Sainikian.

So you're from Rajaram dai's batch. I'm further down in the pecking order then, in terms of seniority.
Someone told me that Indu Chemjong used to be the Principal of Campion Academy..

and again,
Make sure that you're in facebook and joined the" BSAMV - the Sainikans are here " group.

Balbhadra and Bhatiza,

Thanks very much for the inro on facebook BSAMV. I checked the facebook BSAMV and it is a great group. There are lots of pictures-both old and new ones taken from recently organized Sallaghari Alumni Association. Many new faces and some familier faces. But it was very good to see some parts of lovely Birendra Sainik.

I belong to the batch of Mandir Rana (School captain), Deewakar karki, Bijay Thapa, Bipin Upreti. There were no girls when we were at school. It was the 3rd batch in school and I believe it was the 18th in college. I was one batch senior to Pradip Chand, Ananta Bdr Singh. By the way, if any of you guys know Ananta Bdr Singh, he's in Arizona these on an Intelligence course.

Bhatiza, you're a long way away but I hope that you're enjoying the beautiful mountains there. Balabhadra-don't know where you're but hope you're doing great. Slowersea--having a good time in Norway????? Good seeing all of you buddies here. Keep in touch here. Good weekend!

Cheers dai! I'm glad that more Birendra Sainik Alumnis are joining the group in facebok.
By the way,we all of course know who Ananta Dai is, Green color ko haina? Khukuri holder....! Great to know that he's in Arizona right now. It surely does feel great to hear about all the seniors and juniors living all over the globe.. Birendra Sainik was and is the best school ever and the memories will never be erased!

Somphee bro,

I am for the 3rd. I'm sure I know you. Or, at least tell me your serial number and which house belonged to. I was the grand brother of Bhaikaji Thapa, Red House, #9, from your batch. I'm not sure if the BSAM still has the brother system in place. Anyways, this is my first time seeing you here in Sallaghari Alumni, so, welcome to the group brother.

I was going thru all the threads and cant help but to put some of my words too. Used to study in MN but am in KTM rite now. Went to visit my school like almost a year ago and was so depressed to see what i saw. There's buildings everywhere where there used to be trees or open yards. My Fav. Place, the clubhouse only remains in my memory now since its been replaced by some huge buildings......the jyapu field (beside bball court and the former club-house (now some hostel for class XII i think) where we went with our blankets to study, kakro huntin...,smokin sessions is been bulldozed rite now. Have heard that they are makin cricket field in it. The football craze that we had when we were there looks like is been takin by this new sport called cricket...our main football ground (the one infront of the bus-garage) is now a cricket field and also hosts CAAN(cricket associations)'s international games. I was happy to see my birendra sainik in the news again for winnin some new football tournament tho. We only had 3 sections of classes back then, now i've heard it goes from A till E.F..G....I met my warden..Kalpana Maam...still the same ol...with stick in her hand...underwear hangin at the end and yellin at the kids......felt so good to be back. I am from the sixth batch of school and most of the teachers that i knew have already left or transferrred to other branches of BSAM schools...I did however meet KUGU (Kumar Gurung Sir)....oi kundalay...if you're who i think you are....be safe in DC boi.....peace love and nuthin but respect to all my bros from BSAM.
