Bhanu Bhakta’s statue damaged -

September 2nd 2007 this day will be remembered through out the whole history of Dharan. Bhanu Bhakta statue was stoned and have been partially damaged by protesters of Limbuwan , Khambuwan and Tambasailing swayta rajya samiti (Tamang) jointly.

The most disheartning thing is that all the protesters who were attacking the statue were not from Dharan. There was 11 buses, small trucks & pick-ups who brought the protesters all the way from places like Ithari, Damak, Belbari & other places.

The statue has been covered with red banner clothes by the local dharanes to prevent the rusting and save what little prestige left of Dharan
