Anyone here knows what is the name of Makhmali flower in english? I need common name. Someone needs it.

Goodjob, Marigold is "Sayapatri". I am asking for "Makhmali", a paper like purple colored flower.

it's called Bachelor's button.

Amethyst, no it is not called Bachelor's button. They look similar but its not. I finally found the name. The name for "Makhmali" ful in english is Globe amaranth (gomphrena globosa). I am surprised why we nepali did not know the english name of the flower used every year as mala in bhai tika? Some Nepalis call it "Supari Ful" as well.

Actually this information is for raas, a sajha hero.

Feri arko ayo dimag chatnu. Jhatarekancha Chrysnthemum is "Godavari" you are right about that but NOT "Makhmali". Makhmali is called "Globe Amaranth". Kasto keta haru makhmali ra godavari pani chhuttaunu nasakne. The above picture is of "Makhmali" and the one below is "Godavari". They are NOT same flowers. Do you see any similarity between them?

Nepali - मखमली
English - purple Globe Amaranth
Scientific - Gomphrena globosa

Chrysanthemum indicium is the botanical name for the Godavari flower. The flower is commonly known as a chrysanthemum. The name for the chrysanthemum in Nepal is Godavari flower.

I read all of the comments fo searching the name of the flower ... but i dont see anyone giving the right answer.... so here is the right answer friends..... " Celosia cristata" which is we call makhmali ko ful.
