Can anyone plz help me with a translation from nepali to english??

What does "PARAKHI" translate  exactly in English?? Can someone tell that she/he is a parakhi at sth for his own take???

Is it okay to say "I am a parakhi in music?"

Thanks in advance.

-Polly

what about parakhi = fond of

Thanks a lot Deep, Solitude, n smileypkr. The real thing is that I was always confused whether the meaning of parakhi was an expertee or an admirer/devotee!! m still confused as m gettting mixed reactions from ppl at sajha!!

If its an expertee, doesnt it sound absurd to say that u r at an expert at sth(4 urself)???

n i have heard some cigarette advertisement back home sayin "parakhi haru ko lagi!"!! Doesnt it mean for those who have good understanding abt cigarettes or someone who knows a lot abt the stuff rather than who loves/admires the thing!!??

In my opinion,

पारखी = connoisseur
