Isn't she one of the American Idol contestants? I forgot her name but she gained much sympathy votes because of her simplicity. But I think she is overdoing it.
I can't believe I am saying this, but to her credit, she might really be that stupid. God knows some kids, even here in the most advanced nation in the world, are just plain ignorant, especially when it comes to any subject that relates outside of the good ole US of A, or in some instance, outside their particular state.
But my gut tells me she ain't that stupid. She is probably pretending to be stupid because that is her "specialization" as a celebrity. Such is our culture. We find it endearing when people act stupid.
Remember Jessica Simpson? When she wondered out aloud in one of the TV shows how come buffalo-wings come from buffalos or when she said that tuna is chicken because the lable on the can said tuna is chicken of the sea. Her ratings went up considerably.
I think this girl is trying to follow on Simpson's footsteps. But honestly, can America be fooled with such blatant shananigan? I don't know, maybe.
