Provided the surgery is a success, the positive side is you get to have 20/20 or next to perfect vision. Awesone eh? Do you really want to shave a part of your eye even though they you use light to do it and it is painless ? The biggest negative part and a common one for most Nepalis is: We or South-Asians in general have a thin cornea. So after laser surgey, for the rest of our lives when we drive at night we will continue to see a rainbow like lights or shadows (depends what you call it) in many objects. I read an article that says there are lasik surgery meant for people with thin cornea. I don't know how widespead this is. I leave it to you to weigh the risk and the benefits.
