Hi all, my opt will be expiring soon and from some postings on sajha and from kaplan website I found out that Kaplan issues you an I-20 if u enroll in a GMAT class with them. Thats what I planned to do so that I'm not out of status.
But I was informed that they dont issue I-20 unless you are in the IGMAT course which requires you to take english learning classes as well. But the problem is that IGMAT is not offered in all Kaplan test centers, just a few select test centers. I work and live in Minneapolis and I've been told that the closest Kaplan location for IGMAT is in Chicago! So basically, just to keep myself in status and all I'll be forced to move to Chicago!!
Has anyone gone through a similar situation??? Do they really not issue I-20 if you are just trying to enroll in GMAT and not IGMAT??? I graduated from a US college so I am hoping that I dont have to worry about English Learning classes.
Someone please help.
