This thread is only for serious discussion on the topic. So, please keep your junk aside. Thanks!

So, what do guys think other political parties should do? I think it is in the best interest of other parties to let Maoists form their government and watch them from outside. This way, Maoists will have to face the challenge of building up the nation. They will have to work on replacing the bombed towers and bridges and build new roads and power centers. This is a huge challenge and since they were the one to destroy the limited infrastructure we had, they should be made to work on them. This will give a chance for the people to see if the Maoists really fought for Nepalese as they claim all the time. Also, it will have some stability in the government.

On the other hand, Maoists seem to be for inclusive government. I read somewhere that they asked Girija (that guy who is largely responsible for the state of Nepal today) to be the interim President. This is their tactic to involve others and shy away from their responsibility. They want to say that they could not achieve much because other parties were hindering their activities. Political parties should free themselves of the greed and let Maoists run the government their way. Only after that they will know how different it is from using a gun.

So, what do you guys think?

If thats our choice than You are absoloutely Right......................They should build all they have destroyed. But where will the money come from?????? They have already tasted how easy money falls with fear and intimidation. Will they be peacefull (YCL) is yet to be seen because Now they are even more powerfull than ever. You see most of the YCL members are uneducated  so will they understand the importance of Human rights and respecting others? They will offer that position to Girija because MAOISTS know deep inside their hearts How they won the election....and as far as I can tell, They would have never won if they hadnt done what had to be done to WIN. ANd if they kick Girija .....They know that he can easily form alliances with anti maoist groups in Nepal and Hinder any efforts of the Maoists to do anything in Nepal.  My main concern is how will all the maoist inflicted pain in the hearts of thousands go away? And also the comon people who has lost everything due to maoist extortion kidnapping and murders. Specially the police and Army families who now have to serve the same people who were recently termed as criminal and terrorists. How will they tolerate the grudge against eachother in the Battlefields after loosing a friend or a family. It will be easy for non affected people to say forgive and forget and moove along in the name of the country but CAN THEY???? Its is yet to see how the maoists are going to cope with the preasure of their double satndards before and after elections. They preached a total textbook communism republic regime with the poor illetrate and villagers in the rural areas, promising the people EQUALITY. YET the same leaders preached Democratic and capitalistic Nation to the educated and welloff KTM and CITIES AROUND NEPAL to vote for them because they werent going to bring the textbook communism that everyone is afraid of.          THESE ARE THE THINGS YET TO BE SEEN and yes my point is Democracy= Freedom of speech, press and self expression.............yet in text book Communism that= DEATH PENALTY OR MAXIMUM TORTURE WITH LIFE IN PRISION.

BTW, apparently Girija rejected the proposal of being the interim President which means Maoists will head the government. And, both UML and Congress are mulling over whether to join the new government. I feel that they should not, both from a moral standpoint and from a political standpoint.
