There's no change yet in Nepali Maoists' status: US official
A senior government official the United States has said there is "no change" in the status of Nepal's Maoists, who are listed in the US terror watch list.
"I don't think there's any change. There's no change in their status," PTI news agency quoted State Department spokesperson Sean McCormack as saying. He was commenting on the issue in the backdrop of a meeting last week between US ambassador to Nepal Nancy J Powell and Maoist chairman Prachanda.
McCormack added, "There's a particular listing. And I don't have in front of me what exactly what it is, but at this point there's no change."
The State Department spokesperson's clarification comes amid expectations that the Maoists might soon be removed from the terror list with the latter emerging as the largest party after the recent constituent assembly polls.
Besides, the Prachanda-Powell meeting on May 01 marked the starting of formal contacts between the Maoist party and the US government.
The US had listed the CPN (Maoist) as a terrorist organisation in 2004 nepalnews.com mk May 07 08

Kukur ko puchhar 12 barsa dhungro maa raakhdaimaa sojho hunchha ra??? Yini haru tyahi kukur hun ra kukur le "guu" (shit) khana chhodla but yi kukur haru le terrorism, violence, intimidation kahile ni chhod dainan....but yasmaa yiniharu ko pani k nai dosh ra.....ek choti thagera, lutera khaana palke pachhi feri mehenat garera, padhera, kaam garera khaane jaagar kaslaai hunchha ra?? Aakhir baaani laagisakyo....chhodne kasari??

Pyaari Kt, I totally Agree with --Vancha ni "FIRST MAKE HABITS THEN HABIT WILL MAKE YOU". I think NEPAL ma jo aayeni tehi ho tala.....general people will still suffer, nomatter what. But, at the same time, there is no other option to Nepalese people. So this will be a big chance and try people are taking. Everyone deserves 2nd chance. Rt?..Kay thaha.--"Ghaito ma gham lagcha ki"..Tara ma chahi, still don't think will bring any big changes..People at upper posts and high level will enjoy the money, power and many more at the costs of these innocents people....

I had gone through a article, in telegraphnepal.com that said that " U.S was in embarresing position still having "terriorist tag" on officially elected party". U.S ambessador to nepal Ms. Nancy J. Powel hinted that this tag will be removed after solving some technical difficulties.
I don't really support most of the things they are doing.But on the other hand, I was surprised to see how much nepalese people were frustrated with other parties.
But, I do think U.S will remove the terriorist tag, after some months, as they have been officially elected by nepalese people.
Lets see what happens !
