Hi guys, I have Toshiba Satellite laptop which has 512 MB Ram. Since it takes forever (5-7 min) me to use the computer once I turn it on. It's slow and I guess it's due to RAM. Am I right, if not plz correct me.
Anyway if I wanna upgrade the RAM should I just buy one 1 GB RAM and add it up with the 512 MB or do I have to take the 512 MB RAM off and place a 1 GB ram instead.
Appreciate it.

that depends on ur motherboard...just search online what kind of RAM ur mother board supports...and if its real old one finding 512 MB ram for it will be tough and lil bit expensive.

Thanks for your respon guys, I am not asking help about pricing, my main question is If I buy a 1GB RAM and I place it with 512 MB RAM, which is already in the computer or I have to take that 512 MB RAM out and replace with new 1 GB RAM. Or It's ok to put 2 RAMs one is 1GB and another one is 512MB.
thank u

First check in your laptop - how many slots are there for RAM. If your laptop has two - 256MB RAM, remove one 256MB RAM and put 1GB RAM. Yes you can put 1GB RAM along with 512MB RAM.
