Tourist visa is not going to be that benificial. Coz she ll have limited time to stay here and to change the status she ll have to go back to nepal and re enter again so she ll be back to where she is now. If your status is legal ( but not green card holder) I would suggest you to get married to her. the best way to get here. If not she can try for F1 again.

Rain,
I would suggest getting married and applying for a dependent visa. In my case, they asked for my husband's transcript to check his GPA and also his I20.

Good Luck !

Raain ji,

tessari bihe garera US visa paune bhaye ta sabaile khusukka nepali chat ma gaikana sutukaa euti keti lai g/f banai kagaji bihe athawa panche baja bajayera bihe gari lyaunthe hola yeha..tyo kaun sa thulo kuro bhayo ra. ani feri poi ko transcript ko adhar ma swasni le F-1 visa paune kura pani achamma sundai chhu.... If your gf wants to come US as a student, the counsellar office will primarily scrutinize her SAT score, and possibly her transcripts if any, ability to fund herself for the duration of study, attachment to home country, etc. She might not have done good during visa interview. If she has been denied several times, the probability of getting visa in an another attempt is low. I believe, one can reapply for a visa once within a period of six month. If you are a graduate student and want to bring your spouse, obtaining a visa may not be a problem.

I agree with Bhunte here. It's not easy to get an F-1 or any other visa for that matter. And if you have been denied a couple of times already, chances are slim you'll get a visa. Even with marriage the consular will scrutinize it more knowing she had applied before unsuccessfully. Tourist visa is out of the question. Coming to the USA in a tourist visa and trying to change it to F-1 is a lot harder, most reputable schools refuse to do it. You should have known better than to send your g/f for student visa without a strong case. Presumably you had gone thru it before. You also forgot to mention what status you are in the states. If you're a citizen you can get her here in K visa (finacee), if you're a green card holder you're pretty much out of luck. It is taking 5 years to get your petition current. As Bhunte said if you're a graduate student, then you should be able to get your spouse with an F-2, if you're undergraduate you can still can but it's harder.

If you provide with more information then maybe we can help better. We cant read minds. and Help MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE doesnt help much.

My Experience:
My wife had applied for an F1 visa before we got married. She didn't get it.I went to Nepal, got married, and sent her I-20(F2).I also sent her:

1)Good standing letter from International Student Office(saying that I am in good academic and immigration status)
2)my bank document
3)Copy of my I-20
4)Recommendation letter from my department(dean etc.)
5)my official transcripts.

In addition to these, she took Marriage certificate with her. They asked her for my passport to varify that I was actually in Nepal during the period stated in our marriage certificate. They clearly told her that they will give her visa only if my passport (arrival and departure record) says that I was there during that period.I fedexed my passport and she got her visa immidiately.I am glad, I didn't ask her to make fake marriage certificate(it was one of the options I had considered).

I'm a grad student. But, this works even if you are an undergrad student. One of my friends came here in Q1 visa( I had never heard of it before), changed to F1, went to University, transfered to Community college.I told him what I did.He did the same thing. Now his wife is here.
It is right that tourist visa is not easy to get.Even if she gets it, you won't have enough time to change it to F1 or F2.In my opinion, F2 is easier than F1(if you are in good academic and immigration status).
Good luck.
DP
