well, so far I remember, in our family, we used to eat something that's cooked on the previous day as its said "Poosh ko Pakya Maghma khanu". Typical Push ko Pakya used to be boiled or roasted Sweet Potato or Yam(Tarul). On the Maghe Sakranti my mum used to cook Khitro (Khichadi made up of Maash ko Daal and Rice) and Phureula (something like Pakauda of Maash). In Kathmandu, Newars make Chaku. In Madhesh, they make Til ko Laddu or Bhujiya ko laddu..
Is there any rituals that's done in any community? please share if u remember anything regarding Maghe Sakranti...
