Forwarded info, please help:Nandu Kharel,27 expired Thursday morning in Boston, Massachusettes, US. The incident took place this morning at 4.30 am. He came home after his night shift work in Airport at 3 am. He was found unconcious on the bed at 4 am and was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, treatment could not be given, he passed away probably on the way to hospital. He has his parents, newly married wife and his elder brother. His youngest brother is in Pathri camp. There are only 2 Bhutanese Nepali families in the city. We are planning to visit the family tomorrow from New Hampshire, its one and half hr drive. The dead body is expected tomorrow afternoon from police department. Boston is expensive and funeral home may be costlier. Lets all of us join hands together to complete the funeral process. His elder brother, Krishna may be reached @ 413-459-6367.
The body of Nandu Kharel, was available for release (from hospital) on Friday late evening. Meanwhile we were arranging Funeral home, priest, etc. Yesterday night we took 2-3 family members of Nandu to do paper work at Funeral home. Funeral home will take care of the body today (bring from hospital). We decided to have ritual and cremination on Monday (08/10/2009) at 8:00 am (Ritual will begin at 8:30 am). The total cost of funeral is $4000/- (Four thousand) dollars. Earlier, the agency who was taking care told they will take care of finance. Yesterday, late afternoon they denied to give finance support, saying such incidents aren't covered; later on they can collect donation and provide for funeral.
Now, we have to help for this family and raise atleast $4000/- dollars by Sunday night. Following is the way how we listed : 1. Bhutani refuge brothers will provide some money 2. Hydrabadi group for whom Nandu was working 3. Seva International 4. Yog Vedanta Ashram - Boston (Sant Shri Asaramji Bapu). Donating --- $1100/- 5. Two Nepali groups. 6. Other groups who are willing to support 7. HHS group (all shakhas) 8. Individual contacts
Yesterday we decided to collect more than $4000/-. The money which we get above $4000/- will be used as following:
1. Give $2000/- - $3000/- to the family members. 2. Remaing money will be kept with Seva International so that they can help Bhutani familes for any future unpredictable incidents.
Following is the information about funeral services:
1. Date and Time : Monday -- 08/10/2009 8:00 am 2. Location : 287 Main st, Malden, MA - 02148. 3. Name of Funeral home : Leo M. Norton Funeral home.
You Could Donate through Sewa Internation or write a check on the name of Sewa internation Or Ashim Joshi 617 596 9487
