i am looking for an electric guitar........specifically a Fender stratcaster with an amp around $350....where can i get such deals?....any website or location.......please respond

sometimes your independent music shop (not Guitar Center) might have something, but it is quite rare. i don't think you can find anything cheaper than craigslist. You can easily get a MIM strat with a cheap amp for $350 from craigslist very easily, unless you live in timbuktu.

if you want the squire.. then you can get the amp and guitar for that price.. actually you will save more.. but if you want the Fender then for $350 you can only get the Fender Guitar.. not the Gigbag.. coz i got the Fender Strat Mexican made HSS (Hum-Single-Single)not the American for like $370 on sale.. from guitar center..

craglist will be the chepest way to find some deals..

or the regular price would be $399 if you really want the fender.. i think..

Word of advice:
If you buy a guitar online, it is like buying your pants online, which normally people don't do. There is no guarantee you'll like it. That is why you go to store and try them out whether it will fit you, and most important whether you'll like it or not. No two guitar can feel/play the same, even among mass produced on assembly line brands. Hand made will  be totally different even if they look the same. Go to your local GC(Guitar Center) and play two strat which are identical in price and model. If you play it for a while, you'll FEEL the difference in playability and the feel. Look like you're trying to learn. Trust me, it is very important how you fell about the look and the playability, which will encourage or discourage you to learn further. I've been through it.
So get something from craigslist and try it out. If you don't like it, say "No thanks". Look for another one.
* don't go for the squire fender, it is pretty bad. Just a regular (Standard) stratocaster, Made In Mexico (MIM) will work much better.
