Hi,

We are planning to run an e-commerce site with transactions between different countries. However the company will be operating from US.

We need to commit transactions in Nepal and to some other countries. We have technical ideas but almost 0 idea on the legal aspects so looking for some advice.

If there are any lawyers here in Sajha then please reply us...anything from free advice to professional services are most welcome :)

thx

I believe you meant to say CPA. Accounting Firm is the one who handles all international and national business transaction and CPA knows dealing with Commerce Dept regulation and IRS. Unless, you got sued from someone else in business,  you might be looking for an attorney. Waiting myself to see any other comments beside mine.

Well, if you went to Business school in US, whatever SIS just said is not a "SMALL" stuff. But if you are looking for  a FREE LEGAL ADVICE ON SAJHA( Most Nepalese do), even though you are about to do thousands of dollars business in reality, then you are not a business man.

One thing needs to be sure the source of money in and out should be legal, the purpose of e-commerce should not be money laundering.

Go to your local office city office, register it and open an bank account. You can do it either sole proprietorship using your social security card or getting an EIN number.

Keep all your expenses and income, do not forget to pay quarterly income tax to your state and Federal as well do not forget to file taxes timely.
Suggestion: Good luck, do not play game with IRS.
