souvenirs brought from various countries and the awards and
certificates he has got to raise money for Everest summit, reports say.
Shah decided to sell off his belongings due to lack of funds
required for the royalty and other costs to climb Mount Everest. He
plans to climb Everest with flags of all countries he has traveled to
campaign for ‘World Peace.’
Shah, who was assured sponsorship by
a private bank for the Everest summit, has faced fund crunch after the
bank withdrew from its pledge.
Shah has applied to the tourism
ministry for waiver of the royalty. It costs USD 25,000 for royalty in
spring season to climb Everest. He has not got a reply yet.
Shah
said, he needs Rs 4 million to climb Everest if the royalty is not
waived. Shah had also approached Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal to
support him for Everest summit. However, the PM advised him to find
some private sponsors, according to Shah.
The auction will take place in United World Trade Centre, Tripureshwar.
