US psychologists Cindy Meston and David Buss unveiled details of their new book ‘Why Women Have Sex’ this week and revealed that men who are good at dancing communicate subliminal messages of being better mates.

“In fact, in our studies, we found that some women had sex with men simply because they'd been impressed by their dancing,” the sex specialist professors told the Daily Mail, “(The women in our study) were more attracted to men who displayed larger and more sweeping movements. They also rated these men more erotic,” they said.

The duo’s new book followed their 2005 paper Why Humans Have Sex, which itself predated a 2006 study in Nature magazine in which scientists discovered a close correlation between body symmetry and the dancing skills of teenagers in Jamaica.

"In species where fathers invest less than mothers in their offspring, females tend to be more selective in mate choice and males therefore invest more in courtship display," study chief William Brown from Ruttgers University told Nature magazine at the time.

"Our results with human subjects correlate with that expectation. Attractive men are putting on a better show, and women are noticing,” he added. (EmaxHealth.com)

The practicalities of showing off on the dance floor were definitively explored by disco aficionado Bruce Pollack in 1979, in his seminal nightlife manual ‘the Disco Handbook’, in which he outlined the four Basic Disco Dance Rules’

Urging revellers to work hard, concentrate and be prepared to sweat he also recommended refraining from clowning around (‘wipe the grin off your face’) whilst not taking it all TOO seriously.

“If you think it'll be the end of the world if you don't learn how to dance, the pressure will kill you. It won't be the end of the world. It will only seem that way,” said Bruce.

“Let the music take you. Forget about how foolish you may look and just move,’ he advised.

US Politico Says ‘All Pornography Is Gay’

American family values campaigner Michael Schwartz claimed that watching pornography can turn young heterosexual males gay this week, at a panel on ‘New Masculinity’ he was hosting at the Values Voter Summit

"All pornography is homosexual pornography, because all pornography turns your sexual drive inwards,” the chief of staff of Senator Tom Coburn told delegates.

"Now think about that,” he suggested, “ And if you, if you tell an 11-year-old boy about that, do you think he’s going to want to go out and get a copy of Playboy? I’m pretty sure he’ll lose interest. That’s the last thing he wants,” he added. (Salon.com)

His comments came as controversial New York movie producer Michael Lucas launched his latest gay porn epic ‘Men In Israel’ which he said provides ‘free PR for Israel’.

Describing his latest hardcore sex movie as a Pornographic Stimulus Plan, the Jewish Daily Forward was sympathetic to his claims that tourists favour finding romance over visiting Israel’s Holocaust Museum.

“Gay people, and straight people, want beautiful beaches, beautiful nature, beautiful men and women, good food, good hotels,” he told the newspaper.

“Israel shouldn't be mistaken about why people go there. They need me,” he suggested.

Writing on the video’s official site, the press release stresses the same theme, enthusing ‘ISRAEL – a country of sun drenched beaches, breathtaking vistas, and the world's hottest men.’

In decidedly darker news, more details emerged this week of why Serbian officials banned Gay Pride celebration in central Belgrade at the last minute last weekend, after police claimed they were unable to protect participants against organised nationalists and local soccer gangs.

"We're not talking about a handful of hooligans — there were several thousand people ready to attack the participants and the police with everything from Molotov cocktails to knives, iron bars and steel-ball slingshots," Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic Dacic told Belgrade newspaper the Blic, "They also planned to attack Western embassies,” he added.

Pride organizers instead criticized the police for refusing to take on the fascists.

“Police refused to take responsibility for maintaining public order during the event. Instead telling the Pride organizers that they would be held responsible for any public damage caused by the hooligans and fascist groups who have been organizing a violent response to Pride,” they said in a statement.

“In the past week the logistical plans of fascist groups for their violence towards pride participants have been published in Serbian media, these plans include calls for the lynching and beating of LGBT people attending the pride. Serbia has laws against hate speech but at no point has there been any move on the part of authorities to prosecute, instead the official line has been that this is “a debate, an exchange of opinions.”
