Event: Lighting of candle ceremony to celebrate 15th historic renovation of Swayambhu Date: May 27th, 2010 (Buddha Jayanti) Time: 6:30 PM onwards Location: Swayambhunath, Kathmandu, Nepal
May 27th, 2010 marks celebration of 15th historic renovation of Swayambhu. Swayambhu for more than 800 years has emerged as a symbol of Peace and Unity. Without any plans, magically people come together approximately every 100 years to renovate Swayambhu. Never before in history people of this planet needed to come together and spread this message so desperately.
Come together on May 27th and light a candle wherever you are. Become an ambassador of peace and unity, with the blessings of Swayambhu by asking all your friends and family to join this group. Encourage them to light a candle for Peace and Unity.
