Hey guys,

What are my options for a ticket I got for red light crossing, off course other than paying it (though I insisted that I crossed it while it was yellow). Officer told me that I will get something in mail and I can use this to contest, which I did not understand well what he meant....
That is my first ticket in many years of driving and I have no clue if any thing can be done...

Any expert advice...

Thanks

Recently I got the ticket for the same reason and here is how I got rid off..
The ticket will have three options, accept the guilt and pay the fine, pay the fine and join the school and appeal in the court. The best option for me was to pay the fine and join the online school.
Reason - It will not put in the record, which causes increases in insurance (could be 28% depends on the state) and saves the time.
Send the ticket with that option checked along with the amount specified.... and wait for their mail reply.
Note : The certificate you will get after defensive driving course can be submitted to insurance to get reduce in your insurance cost.... Hope it helps ! All da best.

Ha ha! I don't think I can ever match this guy's balls of steel in trying to overturn the case against the flowing current, if you will, but I recall someone in Boston who was ticketed for speeding get away from the hassle by simply telling the judge that he made one mistake in several years, and he ought to be excused for once.
The judge said "good job trooper", and "you there, drive carefully hereafter". The infractions were not life threatening and the subject seems to be highly careful and cautious. Both parties agreed to cite him a caution note and it was dismissed.
I don't know if that helps. Good luck!
