@GoodTimesForChange
I shouldn't be doing this.
But, me in good mood (right now).
I give U only pointers. The rest is up to U.
1) 1st Problem (upper one)
- To find y(t) U need to convolve x(t) with h(t).
- According to your problem, the delta function exists at point 2 on the x-axis (time axis) (first quadrant).
- Use convolution property of delta function (U better know this).
- once you have done the convolution, change the result to frequency domain
alternative method (might be harder)
- Use frequency domain
- convert sine function to frequency domain using Fourier theorem
- do same for delta function
- in frequency domain convolution changes to multiplication
- the rest follows from there.
Once you have the frequency response of y(t) i.e Y(Omega) then just use MATLAB to plot phase and magnitude. U can also do it by hand. Check some Internet pages on this. U will find plenty.
2) Second Problem
If U know part (a) then the others should be a piece of cake.
Part (a) - big hint --- U need to find z(t). The product of two rectangular functions (rect functions) will give you triangular function (Tri function).
Now U need to figure out the x-axis values for the rectangles.
Hope this helps.
Do the rest by yourself.
