Hot wings are tasty, exciting, and a fantastic way to kick off any party. No wonder they're popular. Celery and a dipping sauce are generally what you would be served with hot wings. Side dishes are the things that can take hot wings out of the bar. Just making a few basic side dishes can elevate your hot wings quickly. Source of article - The best side dishes for hot wings - make the best of the burn by MoneyBlogNewz.

Placing a twist into traditional hot wings

You will find two things typically given to somebody who orders wings in a restaurant. Blue cheese sauce and celery will come with them. There are better side dishes you can make at home that are conventional. You are able to try a Gorgonzola dipping sauce that means mixing ½ cup buttermilk, ½ cup sour cream, 6 ounces crumbled Gorgonzola blue cheese, 1 teaspoon chopped cilantro and ½ teaspoon pepper. Would you prefer cool slaw over celery sticks? All you have to do is put some sour cream on top of a mix of celery, carrots and jicama root.

Making for hotter hot wings

If you love heat and want side dishes for hot wings you might want sides that create the burn hotter instead of cooling it. Start with the extra sauce for hot wings -- most bottled hot sauce recipes use cayenne or jalapeno pepper. Try chopping and adding a habanero pepper to increase the heat. Alcohol also increases the burn of any hot wing, by helping move the heat into your bloodstream. Try creating a sweet-hot relish salad by chopping one red onion, two medium carrots, garlic cloves, a cucumber and your favorite pepper together. You'll need to soak the vegetables in a mixture that includes ¼ cup sugar, 2 teaspoons fresh dill and 1 teaspoon mustard seeds. These can be in 1 ½ cups vinegar, or you are able to do just ¾ cup with ¾ cup vodka as well. Before you serve it, drain it.

Hot wings that are coolers

If you need to have something on hand to help relieve the burn of hot wings, keep in mind that water will make it worse. You may want to instead mix 2 parts cream cheese and 1 part mild peach or mango salsa on a spread for crackers. Cooked couscous can help create the hot wings cool down. You really should try Jasmine rice as well. You may just want to try a glass of milk. With that, put out some slices of bread.
