Well, what type of Nepalese are you exactly looking for? They are few here.  Few choose to advertise that they are from H and most choose to mind their own business.  By the way, which school at Harvard are you looking for fellow Nepalese?

And try to be very open about emcracing different cultures and talents at Harvard.  Most Nepalese are good only in academics. So, even if they are here at Harvard or have been an alumni of Harvard, they truly have not been able to represent the capabilities and success that Harvard takes pride upon.  Try to network as much as you can.  Remember, this school literally rules the world in whatever form it could be.  So far, Nepalese have not been able to make this school proud.

For me, it's always cold. A shot of Brandy for you! Welcome to H!

Talking of Harvard, has there been any Nepali who went to harvard and then went on to contribute something big for Nepal or the world for that matter?

Not that I know of.  I know one HBS grad who is a VP at a reputable hedge fund in emerging markets.  I know of another Harvard grad who is at World Bank on Latin America section.  As for their contribution to the world, I really can't say.

I know of grads from other schools who are making significant contribution in Nepal and around the world.  And there are grad(s) from Harvard who like to talk big, sell themselves with their tenuous ties to Harvard, but hardly have anything to show.

This does not mean that Nepali Harvard grads are losers.  They might be.  They might not be.  But does it really matter?

Yes there is one who went to Nepal and was professor @ TU. He died. There are few people who graduated from harvard and went back to nepal and working there. They are in their 60s i guess. Mero baau aama ko age ko.
You don't have to do big things to publisize yourself in media. They are doing great things for Nepal from their side as much as they can. Going back to your country and work there itself is a big challenge. It is a mental satisfaction to work for your country. not for name, fame and money.

Ain't you guys being a bit cynical here? First of all , I never understand people like Nagarikreport and Pichas who has to preach on everything. The poster is asking a simple question, and these men have to give a lengthy preaching.

newStudent seems to subscribe Maoist vision. For them, any piece of comment/advise is preaching.
