Is there anyone who had first time home buyer tax credit and started paying while filing tax this time?
Did you fill 5404 for payment? If so, did you get refund in normal time frame or your process is delayed with some reference number?

Yup, I am, and did read many online blogs. The process is being delayed on almost everyone this year, so is mine and yours. I filed on Feb. 15, was accepted on 17th and refund was scheduled on march 4, but so far none. I called IRS and spoke with them couple of time, they said the filing had an error (could not articulate what type of error), and been sent to error department. If the filing had some issue, they wouldn't accept it first place. I know they are hatching something behind this so-called "first time home buyer credit" payment.

There is nothing much we can do about it. I was told they going to send me a letter in 2-3 weeks explaining what kind of error the filing had. It's been 2nd week I haven't received anything from IRS. These people are a total crap. It's my personal opinion.

That's what exactly has happened to me. I called IRS and they looked at my details. They came back and said there was nothing wrong in filing. They are manually processing 5404 form for FTHB credit payment. It will take 6-8 weeks. What a cra... IRS.

Any progress from IRS to get refund? I am still wainting for my refund. I filed in Feb 28.

Still the same thing, no change. still says "filing was accepted and being processed." They have money to throw 1.4 million per missile for 45 a night in Libiya, and they do not return their own people's money (a little) that was withheld. Crazy Washington. Any progress on tax return? My ref cod has changed from 1481 to 1201. I have no idea what is going on in IRS.

I checked last week, and it said I must receive my return by May 11 due to manual processing delay. Don't know the detail. Nothing to do but wait and see. let me know if any updates on your side. thanks, Good luck!

I just checked today and that said:

"Your tax refund is scheduled to be direct deposited on April 15, 2011. If your refund is not credited to your account by April 20, 2011, check with your bank to find out if it has been received. Please wait until April 20, 2011 before you contact us again because we are unable to take any action until then."

Check yours too.

I don't trust until it is deposited to my bank on this Friday.

Here is mine. I just checked.

"We have received your tax return and it is being processed. Unless there is a processing delay or you owe other taxes, you should receive your refund by April 26, 2011."

They are just playing me. I don't trust them.
