 तिम्रो पछी लाग्दै हिड्थे म 
काठमाडौँका सडकहरु 
लुकी लुकी हेर्थे तिम्लाई 
बिर्सिन सकिन ति झलकहरु
घर मै छु जस्तो लाग्थ्यो 
पुगेको हुन्थे सिन्धुली र दमकहरु 
चामल किन्न पसल जान्थे 
किनेर ल्याउथे नमकहरु  
तिम्रै यादमा डुबेको हुन्थे त्यहाँ हुँदा
अमेरिका आएर पनि गएनन् मेरा सनकहरु 
तिम्रो कमिले सब अन्धकार लाग्छ 
काम आएनन् सहरका यी चमकहरु 
तिम्रो माँयामा सब एक समान लाग्छ 
छुट्याउनै सकिन मैले फरकहरु
