Call girl racket busted, 8 held

NEW DELHI: Seven women from abroad and a man were arrested for allegedly running a call girl racket in south Delhi, police said today.
The women, including a pimp, hail from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Nepal, Ashok Chand, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), said.
"We received a tip off that call girl racket involving foreign nationals was being run at South Ex Part-I. A raid was conducted yesterday after a decoy customer struck a deal with them," Chand said.
The decoy struck a deal with alleged pimp Deepak Verma (25), who hails from Pithoragarh in Uttaranchal. "He took the decoy inside the house where the woman pimp was present along with the girls. The woman pimp told that the girls would be available on payment of Rs 20-25,000," Chand said.
Out of six call girls, one is from Kazakhstan, three are from Uzbekistan and two from Nepal. The woman pimp is from Uzbekistan.
Verma told the police that he was working for one Ashish, the kingpin of the prostitution racket, for a monthly salary of Rs 10,000, Chand said.
"As soon as a client contacts Ashish, he would depute Verma for further liaisoning. Ashish also runs a website by the name of 'Delhi Top Escorts'. Investigation revealed that the woman pimp has visited India several times and has operated in different areas of South Delhi," Chand said.
The call girls were staying in a rented accommodation in south Delhi on a rent of Rs 35,000 per month.
"The call girls were paid each a sum of Rs one lakh per month, excluding food and accommodation which were being paid by the pimp. The call girls came to India on tourist visa and their duration of stay ranged between two to six months.
"They have a selected clientele and any new client is entertained only when he provides them with the reference of a old and trusted client," Chand said.
