I got a question for you all.
Maile kaam ko tax Sabai bharera refund ni aai sakyo ani pachaii ni sakyo. Tara I had done a summer research. Ani pachi gayera tyo summer research ko ni w-2 aayo. Should I refile with the new document or should I just leave it out?

You have to amend it.
If you have efiled; got to your tax software and click on amend.
Follow instructions.

It's just that the summer research was for 2 months only. So dat is how I missed it coz it came late. On top I have paid my tax for regular on campus job for the year. Btw when is the deadline for amend?

Click 1040X ( for taxact)

Once you see the firm 1040x , Somewhere it shows three ways to amend.
Original amount
Net change
Correct
three column are there .

Before you add the new form I guess it will ask to click on three choices on that 1040 X click the first something about the original.
It will fill the 1040 X automatically on the original amout , net change and correct , as you add the new information,  no need to fill other than the explanations.

Add your new information.

Explanations:

Still you have to put the reason for amend line by line.
line 7. missed the w-2 income by $
line 23 for new total income
line 38 new AGI
Line 43 - new taxalbe income
line 44 - New tax liablilty

if you do not have enough line just put line 7 , 38,43 and 44.

If you owe money, attach the check with it and send it to your IRS office.

I think that is all.

I think your software will charge you again for th 1040 x print.

I can not help on your state , until I know which one is it.

I have one more question.
What happens if I dont amend it and not report the summer research income? Will they send me a notice and then later I can pay it?

We will leave that choice up to you. Research yourself.
