06/22/2012: Rising Expectation and Hope for H.R. 3012 Legislation Perspectives in High Tech Businesses and High Skilled Foreign Worker Community

• The news of Senator Grassley's willingness to lift hold on H.R. 3012 with the new compromised and amended text to his initial amendment text cannot come at a better time, driving stakeholder employers and high skilled professional workers to excitement and rising hope for their dream come true. Why? Should the negotiation succeed between the two parties, the bill can even be enacted in unaniimous consent without votes. Even if they fail to reach agreement between the two party leaders in the Senate, there is an enhanced chance for passage of the bill in the Senate. The key question remains whether or not the bill will be passed with any amendments. In the latter case, the bill will have to go back to the House for its action either with or without a Senate-House conference committee process before the community sees the final fate of this legislation.
