Whatever you experience in your life is nothing but your mind. Change your mind change your life instantly. For example, you get pleasure from an object only when it is desired. Food taste great when you are hungry. Sex becomes awesome when you crave for it. Relationships are meaningful till it gives pleasure. It takes 1 sec to turn enemy into friend and friend into enemy. Such is life. Such is mind. Great Indian sages were wise enough to say: where there is mind, there is stupidity! Remove this creeper called mind and enjoy the life. People suffer because they attach themselves with mere moods, mere likings and dis-likings. The moment we realize that we have the power to arrest these thoughts and moods anytime, we start living like a king. Mind is a veil. It veils what is worth seeking but it is difficult to move beyond mind. Sages call the path "sharp as a razor." Worrying about anything is futile because this life is like a dream! Fantastic long dream. Why this life is compared as a dream? Because when consciousness is turned inward we see dream, and when the same consciousness is turned out this world appears in front of us. Same thing happens in both states! Objects are perceived and experienced by a perceiver. Both have a beginning and therefore an end. That which has a beginning, that which has an end doesn't exist in the middle whatsoever. Let the world be real as solid iron but again it is like a dream. Consider the evolutionary time-scale, millions of years required for evolution and we live merely 100 years. Compare million years with 100 years. It's like a flash of lightening! A wise person will consider this whole universe as valuable as a blade of grass! What happens when you know everything? I literally mean everything? You remain silent! When all known things come to an end, what remains is silence. This world-appearance is nothing but a slight vibration in that silence. And that vibration is our mind! Mind is the result of self-forgetfulness. Therefore, world cannot give you the eternal peace, because mind itself is ignorance. When you realize Atma, you will be friendly even to a person who is about to murder you! May you seek refuge in that eternal bliss.

Thank you all for appreciating some Vedantic thoughts. I tried not to use many technical Sanskrit words. I tried to make it an easy read. The transcendental field is beyond description! Any attempt to describe the Turiya state is like trying to explain someone "what is love." You gotta experience love in order to understand it. There is no other way out. Scriptures can show you the way, but it is self-effort that leads you toward the ultimate truth. The joy which we get from this world is nothing compared to those who have experienced this 4th state of consciousness. It's essence is supreme delight. It's like swimming in a pool filled with joy! And there is beyond 4th state! OM TAT SAT.
