Wise people often say, "True knowledge only comes through direct experience." Vedas takes you to that point where you stop talking and you experience the wholeness of this existence. Most people of present technological age have no time for the wisdom that lies in Vedas and Upanishads. Instead, they are vainly running after impermanent material desires. Many people debunk Vedas saying, "They are written by sheep and cow herders who were ignorant." The level of thinking that lies in the Vedas is profound. For example, consider the Nasadiya Sukta of Rik Veda which is also called "The hymn of creation."
Neither existence nor nonexistence was there
Neither matter nor space around
What covered it, where it was and who protected?
Why, that plasma, all pervading, deep and profound?
The hymn clearly indicates that Vedic people were very much interested in understanding this "Sristi" or creation in its deepest level. When you start thinking on that level which is beyond big bang, you have to adopt a technique where science cannot even function. This is why where quantum physics end, Vedas starts. Vedas even take you to that realm which is beyond "knowledge." For an ordinary mind it is very difficult to understand the poetic formation of Vedas. For example, what do you mean by "beyond knowledge", you are losing me here!
99% of people in this planet only think about food, sex, and some wordly desires. What lies beyond existence, most people don't care!
