They dont give you any hassel or any problem. Its very simple, easy and beautiful.

As you enter the immirgation from the bus or by walking there will be a huge line of untidy native people in a hurry pushing and steping on each other like farm animals trying to get out at once from a small opening as if they will reach somewhere. Dont stay on that line because that is only for nepali citizens. Be tall and just keep walking to far end. You will see sign 'without visa'. Go there. A tall beautiful lady will greet you with a smile. She will ask you for water and how the flight was. There wont be any line. You will feel like your in a bussiness lounge looking down upon economy passenger from a crystal clear one way mirrow.

Then take the visa form from the counter and fill it out which takes about 2 minutes. You will need to have one 2x2 photo. And $100 if u need for 90days, $40 for 30days and i dnt know for <15days.

Dont sweat if you forget to bring your photo. They can take one for you there but you have to pay a price for it. I think about rs10,000.

Best of luck!

Thanks very much Pirka for sharing your experience & the detailed information. It's given me some insights about the process & how to navigate at the airport for the visa.

Thanks again & wish you a pleasant stay back home.

Oh Pirka. That is very well written description. But, 1 photo = 10,000 Rs.?? Is that true or you mistakenly put some zeros at the end?

Pirka explained it well.
Price for photo is around Rs.250 & visa for 15 days is around $25.
