भूकम्पका कारण जाजरकोट र रुकुम पश्चिममा गरी हालसम्म १ सय ५७ जनाको मृत्यु भएको छ । भूकम्पबाट हालसम्म दुवै जिल्लामा गरी एक सय ९७ जना घाइते भएका छन् ।

जाजरकोट भूकम्पबाट प्रभावित जिल्लामा कार्यरत कर्मचारीहरूलाई तत्काल काममा फर्कन संघीय मामिला तथा सामान्य प्रशासन मन्त्रालयले निर्देशन दिएको छ । भूकम्प प्रभावित जिल्लाका स्थानीय निकायमा कार्यरत प्रमुख प्रशासकीय अधिकृत तथा अन्य कर्मचारीलाई यथाशीघ्र आफ्नो कार्यालयमा हाजिर हुन मन्त्रालयले निर्देशन दिएको हो ।

समाज कल्याण परिषद्ले राष्ट्रिय र अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय गैर सरकारी संघ, संस्थाहरुलाई तत्काल आवश्यक उद्धार, राहत र पुन:स्थापनामा सहयोग पुर्‍याउनको लागि अनुरोध गरेको छ ।
