Looks like I've missed out on a lot of theoretical talks on sajha, while managing a busy schedule here. Haven't had a chance to go outside the valley yet but the situation of the valley is much better than it was last year. Will be going outside the valley on the school project in the next few days.

Grass root involvement is much more rewarding than trying to communicate with few self proclaimed long distance democracy fighters. You guys should come back here and try to help the common Nepali rather than fulfilling your self righteous pompous agendas.

May not have access to internet for few weeks. Going to be too busy to entertain the desktop warriors :)

Most of the politically aware people that I have talked to in KTM have begun to lose any hope they had from the parties. Especially with these politicians trying to join hands with the Maoists. Most people here are more interested in having a stable lifestyle than anything else. These are common Nepali people like small grocery owner, rickshaw driver, the 'aamai' who makes tea outside ratna park.

For me the betterment of the lives of the common people is more important than the so called democracy in Nepal which unfortunately becomes the means for few select individuals (politicians) to cash in while they have 15 minutes of Power. Along the pursuit of which, the lives and the livelihood of these common people are neglected and ignored.

I don't think the common people of nepal are politically aware or interested. In a country where over 70% of the population is technically illiterate and impoverished, the most important thing for these people is peace and stability.

These people don't want the country to be engulfed in a neverending civil war for the benefit of few politicians who would be in power for a little period of time, during which they would plunder the country even more.
