Rizal a hit at MUSIC Awards

An artiste got four awards for the first time in the history of Hits FM Music Awards as Lochan Rizal took home four statuettes including the Album of the Year at the 9th Hits FM Awards 2062 on February 3 at BICC.

Similarly, the angel-voiced Ani Choying Dolma's Phoolko Aankhama took home an award each for the singer and Nhyoo Bajracharya under the categories of Record of the Year and Best Composition respectively. The year's favorite find - The Uglyz - had to be content with just one award for the Best New artiste. The group was nominated for five categories.

The Lifetime Achievement Award went to the popular folk singer Kumar Basnet which was later followed by a rock rendition of his Diunla Yo Jowan Timilai Diunla by Abhaya & the Steam Injuns.

Slightly disappointing to the fans used to seeing singers come on stage on a bike or arrive on a helicopter, this year's awards had nothing out of the ordinary. But the show did include performances by 1974 AD, DJ Raju, Mausami Gurung, Kranti Ale, DA 69, Ram Krishna Dhakal, The Uglyz including Anil Shah along with Kutumba and Pritam Rai.

lochan rizal..was not impressed with his vocal at first.but when you start listening then its kind of unique..that what i thought.
