ANA promoted their events from June 30 to July 4th, so I purchased a plane ticket few months in advanced from June 30 to July 5.

I tried to book my hotel room few days ago and I was told that the 89 dollar per night rate is only valid till July 3rd. If i want to book for July 4th night it's 198 dollars for that night alone. I wish they had blocked off July 4th night as well :(

One biggest mistake you made is jumping into conclusion of yourself without knowing the fact. But forget about that unless the airline charge you a reasonable price for changing the date of returning flight from 5th to 4th (below 198 dollars), it it not worth staying on Hotel when you have other options available.

One quick suggestion to you, Red-Rooster, if you are not carrying a heavy luggage and loads of luggage, why don't you make a short trip to New York City and spend the evening of July 4th and July 5th till you fly. It is worthy (if you have not visited prior) and not to mention, Port's Authority has a constant bus service from NYC to Newark Airport, NJ (if you are flying from Newark).
