hey,
I am thinking about going back to school for my masters. Anyone knows anything about changing the status from H1 to F1? Do get my I-20 and then contact INS for change of status or the school is going to take care of it? With the new SEVIS thing going on. I donot have a clue and thus looking for some help.

Although you get I-20 from the school... it would not be issued UNTIL your change of STATUS is filed. If you do not have funding from school sometimes it plays against you..

So, better way is to go home i.e. NEPAL. apply for F1 there and all is KOSHER.

you can go school from from H1 status.I don't think u have to change your status
just for school.It's different thing if u planning to quit.
