I am working in Virginia under OPT. My employer had filed H1B under normal process to Vermont Center. But recently. My employer got a notice of transfer stating that my case has been transferred to Texas Center stating - “We transferred this case because the record indicates that office has jurisdiction over the case”.
So just wondering what would be the reason of transfer. If any have such experience w/ their case or familiar, please share.
I am not willing to ask my employer to call to Center at this time as calling there need a long hold.

I don't think there is anything for you to worry about. May be Texas center is supposed to look after the applications filed from your current address and they forwarded to that center for further processing. At least i am sure there is nothing bad associated with it.

the cases from VA falls into TX office. thats why they transferred it to TX.

That's a new thing I learned. I had impression that applications from Virginia are sent to Vermont Service Center and processed by them........

from website of USCIS, it seems like Vermont Service Center should handle your case. I am not an expert. Check with Customer Services or ask you lawyer if you hired any.
