Let's recollect some of the finest moments from previous WC in this thread. Videos would be great but if not, a brief description of the moments that captivated you, would be fine.

Let me do the first honor. My all time favorite moment is from the the 1992 WC final between Pak and Eng. Wasim Akram was on fire that night. The legend took consecutive wickets- those of Alan Lamb and Chris Lewis to put a major break in the England run chase, which later proved to be pivotal for Pakis to win the final and hence clinch the cup. I have been Akram's fan ever since! He is THE one!!!

if you're a south african fan, you know you don't wanna talk about WC coz they have always been unlucky and i don't recommend you watching this video :P. 1999 wc, aussies desperately needed a win to qualify for the semis and they were pitted against one of the finest teams and their rival - SA. steve waugh was on a rampage in the run chase and south africans were feeling the heat as aussies were cruising. suddenly, he generates a rash shot and gives gibbs a simple catch (a dolly) which he gets hold of in the beginning but in the process of celebrating the wicket a tad too early, DROPS IT!!!!...Steve waugh later told in an interview that with that catch gibbs and SA dropped the world cup!
