KnightCrawler, please let me know if I am getting it right, but do you mean you used the blackberry just as a modem to connect to the Internet on the computer? Unless you have data plan with the phone provider, I don't think you can do that. I was so confused myself about this, and thought it would be possible to make the Blackberry (or any phones that have bluetooth capability) act as a modem and to surf on the Internet. Most new phones are not analog phone, but digital phones, and it just wouldn't work as a home phone to connect to the Internet. If you were just trying to surf the net on the Blackberry itself, you should be able to do so!

Slackdemic: I forgot to mention......I do have data plan....I read in several Blackberry forums where its possible, but mine just didn't work.....Technically, the way it works is you let Blackberry software run on your laptop or desktop in the background, conenct Blackberry to the laptop with the USB cable, and add a dial-up in Network settings.....Depending on the service provider, they have a code you have to enter in the Blackberry software running on the laptop......and would work.... Hope its not too confusing......I was wondering if anyone here on Sajha had any luck connecting it that way... Appreciate the replies.

Slack Bro: Appreciate the link.....will try that here shortly.. About service provider and pricing, its thru' Sprint, but no idea about pricing, as my employer pays the bill...As far I know, its something like $99.00 for 1000 voice mins, and unlimited Data.....and all the free text, and free Sprint-to-Sprint stuff.....I heard, Verizon has some good plans....have few frens who have that, $129 for 450 voice mins, with unlimited Text/DATA...... Hope it helps. Thanks again for the link !!
