Which other democratic party in the world maintains it's personal army and hoodlums? ...okay Hamas is the one...and now we have Maoists. No wonder they both are terrorists.

Maoists keeping weapons without DAO's permission

The District Administration Office of Saptari district has said that it has not given permission to the Maoists to keep weapons.

The Chief District Officer Himnath Dawadi said so in response to Maoist claim that they kept some weapons in understanding with the DAO, reports Kantipur daily.

Maoists' local secretary Amar made the claim at a press meet on Friday. He said that in the face of frequent physical assaults against leaders and workers of his party, they had kept weapons in understanding with the administration and police officials.

One grenade, one pistol and its ammunition were found from the office of Maoists in Rajbiraj when local businessmen vandalised it after they became angry at forceful bazaar bandh imposed by the Maoists. The weapons were then handed over to the police.

The Maoists had forced Rajbiraj bazaar to shut down and also thrashed some businessmen in reaction to the murder of their leader Dasarath Thakur by JTMM-Goit cadres a few days ago.
