I filed for my Taxes via taxactonline.com and turbotaxes.com and I'm darn sure that I didn't file it as a F-1 holder ( filed it in a different form as an American I guess). Is it gonna have a long term effect on my status?! Thanks in advance!

Balabhadra, Simple and to-the-point answer to your question: my friends filed regular 1040, claimed education credit while they were working off-campus during F1 days. They recently got their GC approved (without any problem). Hope you got the point. DP
