Hi, I was offered full time job at University but I am still in F1 status and It will take me about a year to graduate. ISA says I can work 20hr as student and on OPT for remaining 20 hr ( total 40 hrs for Full time). It is fulltime salaried position. Is it legal to accept that position while I am still in F1? Will It later create problem in CG processing ? thanks

You are required to take a minimum of 12 credits or something like that to be in F-1. Also, I think they require that you work no more than 20 hrs during a semester whatever be the case. Full time employment is only allowed during summer and possibly winter. Ask your international student advisor on this...thats the best bet.

Thanks for replies. Btw, I am Graduate student and I have finished all my graduate course work. I just have my Thesis left ( which I plan to finish Next semester). ISA has already given me green signal but I am still not feeling easy so looking for your suggestions. thanks again.
