Does a person under H1B who wants to invite his/her parents to US need to fill up I-134 Affidavit of Support?? In the form, there is no line to indicate other status than US Citizen or Permanent Resident. It appears like it is only for US residemts or Green Card Holder sponsoring someone.

The form you're talking about is for "sponsoring" family members. In your case, you just want your parents to come visit you here. You are not sponsoring them. So, you do not need to fill out any forms or anything. Just write a letter adressing the US embassy saying that you want to see you parents since it's been quite a while you have not seen them and want them to visit you here. Also, include a letter from your company indicating that you work for them and send copy of your H1B document to prove that you're in status. Tell your parents to present all these things to the consular at the US embassy during interview and that is all! Good Luck to you and your parents! -HF
