बेलुक को तेही पौने छ बजेको थियो मोबाईल को घन्ती बज्यो। यन टी सी को नेट्वोर्क को के कुर गर्नु तेस्मती चितवनको त कुरै गर्नु बेकर थियो।
कोठाको झ्यालमा झुन्डाएको फोन म घन्ती बज्द दाङ परेर बोलेको थिएन।
"बाबा," तिम्रो स्वोर सुनेर अचम्म म लाग्यो।
हिजो मात्रै त तिमीले फोन गरेको थिएु अब नयाँ बर्षको रती गर्छु भनेर कुर टुङियो को थियो।
"हैन, सुनन, यो एउत ज्यजा भन्ने फोन गर्ने वेबसाईट छ के तेस्ले चिर्स्त्मसक्रिस्मस को अबसर्मा एक्घन्त इन्तेर्नसनल कल फ्री देको छ थेइ बाट गरेको।
पटक पटक गरेर एक घण्टा गफ गर्द रतिको बार्ह बजेको थियो होला। मैले भोली पल्ट स्पष्टिकरण दिनु परेको थियो तिम्रो मेरो सम्बन्धको बारेमा मेर अभिभबक्लाई।
फोन राख्नु अगी तिमीले भनेको अझै सम्झन्छु " अब अर्को किर्स्मस त बाबा र म सँगइ अनी किर्स्मस र न्यू एअर न्यू योर्क मा मनाउने है।"
मैले श्ह्जै हुन्छ भनेको थिएन। यध्पी मलाई Visa लग्ने कुर म कत कत डर लागि राखेको थियो। तर मैले आफुमा भन्दा तिम्रो confidence म भरोस थीयो।
Finally, we made it. We speed on with all joys. You showed
me the world. I started realizing its beauty. I started loving the world,
overcoming my anxiety of loneliness. Once
you said, “After all, there will be only two of us for each other”, while we
were talking about parents and offsprings. I knew what you meant. Then after,
we never got to look back. In every success, there was our name.
Now it’s Christmas again. Everyone is having fun but me.
Alone in an apartment, I am recalling the beautiful days, the life I lived with all my spirit. I can no more promise you of anything. With an eve of New Year,
you will be cherished with your “siudo” overwritten by new “Sindur”. Sweetheart, I am listening to last Christmas……….but
there is some twist as I can feel. I can not dare loving anymore. Rather, I
will drink all my incomplete dreams with every sip of beers. No more tears. It
has been drained out.
I am signing off with all my incomplete dreams. I am
becoming a stranger to those familiar eyes and I believe, I will be vanished in
the crowd. Crowds of cacophony where you will hear my sound but will never feel
the words I speak out. I remember one of the great persons in my life saying,”
this is how life moves on” no matter how static and engraved you are.
