I can not stop writing in this thread. This had been in my mind for long time as Nepali citizen and this is what I feel as Nepali.
WAR AGAINST WHO? AGAIN AGAINST NEPALI CITIZEN???
Did simple Nepali civil citizen created all this mess in the country? Or is it these corrupted leader and maoist party members created this chaotic condition in Nepal? Who are these maoist supporters fighting against???
I can not understand at all. If the problem is with the government/systerm, can't maoist just take care of all these corrupted leaders instead of giving trouble to general citizens? In one of the forum, one of the maoist supporter said for revolution and better for the country, people need to sacrifice... "Dhaan kutda bhus ta pishincha nai...." but I say life of Nepali citizens are not like bhus or not made to sacrifice without their own wish. People should not be forced for anything... is this the meaning of democracy? Is democracy means do whatever you like if you have power???? I don't think so. Democracy means freedom for everyone, freedom of speech, freedom of lifestyle, freedom of thinking, freedom in doing what you like BUT with rules and regulations. We are missing rules and regulations in the country. We forgot civic values and morality and discipline to live human life. We have to remember human beings are most civil creature in this earth. We are not meant to kill each other. Specially in Nepal, we have tradition of respect, calling even stranger as Dai, bhai, didi, bahini with words like tapai, hajur etc. Why do we have this culture because we think all the people in the country are like our brothers and sisters. In other country, your own brother or sister is called as brother and sister. Why do we respect even stranger nepali as brother and sister???? Why are we forgetting all these and ready to kill each other????
I see lot of posting in even Sajha saying where Buddha belongs and discuss if Buddha is from Nepal or India. But we forget the simple wisdom of Buddha that is Peace, no-violence, live simple life, don't hurt others, forgiveness etc. If we don't respect and follow what Buddha said, are we not eligible to discuss and again fight for where Buddha belongs? Common, when Buddha was born there was no country boundary like Nepal or India. Prince Siddhartha Gautam was born in what we call Lumbini in Nepal and he got enlightment and became Buddha in Nepal; and everyone in the world respect him for his contributions and his wisdom. But we Nepali are ready to fight and discuss on where Buddha belongs....
What I mean is, we always forget the main point. The point is we all want prosperity of our country and good for all but for that why we create problems. Do we need Nepal bandh every month? Can we imagine how much loss country bears in each Nepal bandh???? Is there anyone in the country that can calculate this? I am not the finance specialist or economist but I wish if any finance specialist or economist publish the impact of each Nepal bandh in our country. Our country is doing down every day. There is no balance in the country. Price of everything is gonig up. Living expense in Kathmandu is almost like in any foreign country like US or Europe but earning is not. I don't know how people are balancing life. But does that mean, pick the weapon and kill everyone around???? Simple answer is NO... NO... NO... killing and voilence is never an answer... When you kill someone, think how much the family and loved ones of killed person will suffer. Even when we get small wound, it hurts so much, how would it feel to be killed.... Its easy to train and tell someone to go in war.... but its hard actually feel how someone will feel when they get hurt or killed.... In last more than one decade of Maoist war, DID MAOIST KILL ANY CORRUPTED LEADER? Answer is NO. Why maoist always target our village and villagers? Is it because they are kind and weak? Is being kind, nice and weak is the problem of this country or being corrupted???? I don't understand this.... I still remember the days when maoist abduct kids studying in high school from school and home forcefully like cattles. Life of Nepali is not like cattle and not made to be killed. We are human being and we have rights to live better life. But better life does not mean everyone in the country has to be equal in everything. By the nature of human beings and by birth, all human beings are not same. Everyone has strengths and weakness. We should nurture our strength and live our life based on our strength. Like my strength in thinking logically, so I work in technology field, my dad like business so he worked in business field, my wife like teaching so she teaches in school, my uncle like to work with nature so he works as environmentalist, one of my cousin like to cook so he works as cook, etc etc... what I mean is everyone does not need to do everything and everyone does not need to be as rich as other.... life always have ups and downs.... we as human beings has this power to cope with all these ups and downs in life.... If we have problem in life does not provide us the right to be rebel and kill all others that are living normal life at that moment.... Who gave us right to make decision of lives of other in Nepal.
We should all do our responsibilities and that is what is required in our country at this point.
Maoist leaders said, everyone in the country should support them and possibly provide food and shelter for this big event. But my question is why???? more than 95% of Nepali are either middle class or below... people struggle to provide one time food for their family, how can any simple nepali family support dozen of maoist cadres at their home with food and shelter???? Can't maoist goto house of like very rich people like Khetan or Golchha or Madhav Nepal or Sujata Koirala's house???? why problem to civil citizens???? Again, have you ever heard any big political leader threaten by maoist???? If not, why just simple Nepali citizen???? Don't we all suppose to have equal rights to live in this country????
In this interview, one of maoist supporter said they are doing everything for the country? Is this what country wanted? Does maoist or any political party care what Nepali citizen wants???? One of techniques that is used to establish democratic country is to force authoritarian rule (I mean forceful rule) but history supports no country developed with authoritarian rule.
Again the maoist supporter in this video said there should be just 2 party - male and female. I agree but isn't it maoist and splited party of maoist that created conflict between madhesh and pahadi???? We all use to live happily whether its madhesh or pahad... there were no conflict between race or religion in Nepal before maoist interrupted.....
Another maoist supporter talked about foreign jobs is bad. I say why???? I would say 30% of Nepali house is surviving because someone in their house is working outside and sending money to them. Do these maoist supporter even think how hard is to live outside Nepal? What it means to leave all the family, friends and everything, and live in foreign land and work.... is it a easy task???? but someone has to do this???? common.... answer this maoist supporter.... because of the instability and lack of job.... if someone chose to live civil life, don't like to participate in killings and want to support their family, WHATS WRONG.... We should not be jealeous with any progress that any other Nepali is doing. We should be proud that Nepalis are all over world and doing their best for their life, survival and their family in Nepal. Directly or indirectly whether people work in Nepal or outside, its beneficial for the country. Tell me if I am wrong. I think people living outside Nepal will even miss Nepal more. And if the situation get better even people living permanently in 1st world country like USA, UK, Japan will return back to Nepal and contribute. Even people from India started returning back to India after studying/working in foreign country because they are getting better opportunity in their home land. We need peace, security and better working conditions in Nepal rather than killings and more problems...
One last thing I would like to mention. Does maoist think that they won last election by majority because of they threatened everyone in Nepal. If thats what maoist think that threatening Nepali citizen will make any difference then ITS COMPLETELY WRONG. Nepali people voted maoist thinking at least maoist will do something for the country.... I know people in Kathmandu with high education like PHD degree voted for maoist just because he thought maoist will make some difference in the country. But one year with maoist prime minister, nothing changed. It was no different than being run by any other party leader. Moaist still maintained parallel government even when maoist leader was prime minister. That was golden opportunity for maoist to prove they are here for the country. My initial concept of maoist was maoist is fearless and can do anything but it made me sad when Prachanda resigned saying other parliament members didn't allow him to do what he wanted. If maoist can create his own army then why can't moaist control the parliament when prime minister was from maoist..... I expect Prachanda to threaten everyone in parliament and create better Nepal. But that didn't happen.
I pray for better peaceful Nepal.
